ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Joshua S. Levy is the author of several middle grade novels: SEVENTH GRADE VS. THE GALAXY and EIGHTH GRADE VS. THE MACHINES, as well as the upcoming THE JAKE SHOW (May 2023) and LAST SUMMER IN OUTER SPACE (August 2023).

Josh was born and raised in Florida. He’s taught middle school (yes, including seventh and eighth grade) and also worked at Jewish organizations (including camps!) across the denominational spectrum—all of which has inspired his books in different ways. He holds a master’s degree in Jewish education from Yeshiva University (he also quit the rabbinical program there after a while, but that’s its own long story). Josh eventually went to law school and currently practices as a lawyer in New Jersey, where he lives with his wife and children.

Josh loves all things Star Wars (ALL. THINGS.), spaghetti and meatballs, and that sound a ring of keys makes when you toss it up into the air. He will always play Gaga if asked.
